In the morning, I got a call from Celise, who informed me that I had won first prize in the “I Love Downtown Maple Ridge” contest. I was completely taken aback, as it was the first time I had ever won any prize.
I vividly recall the day when Jane and I wrapped up a birthday lunch at Sammy’s Grill. We spotted a coffee shop next door, always on the lookout for unique drinks. We stepped inside and ordered the “Strawberry Mocha,” which turned out to be delightful.
We noticed a ballot box and, being enthusiastic supporters of Maple Ridge, decided to enter. We were amazed by the number of items inside. Taffy absolutely loves her new bed and snacks, although the toys are a bit too large for her.
